How do I force Explorer.exe to open in C:\ drive when I trigger it on
my start menu?

For my Desktop shortcut I use this:

Target: C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe /n,/e,c:

Start in: %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%
