Bypass proxy bug?!

S

Steven Jones

Hey All...

I have a problem with IE6 that won't resolve. Here goes....

I have entered addresses that I would like IE to bypass the proxy for,
typically intranet sites (eg 10.*;*.domain.com), but IE is ignoring the
addresses and anything else I put into that field. I know it is still using
the proxy for these addresses because I am sniffing the network and it is
quite visible that it is still not bypassing for the addresses.

The only way I have managed to stop IE from doing this is to force it by
specifying intranet sites in the security tab, but I should not have to do
this because "Include all sites that bypass the proxy server" is selected.

Any ideas?

Regards...

Is the box
IE \ tools \ Internet Options \ Connections \ LAN Settings... \ Bypass
proxy server for local address
checked? If not, check it and see if this helps.
