Button beside send, but not beside reply

Hi There, new to Outlook VB, proficient with excel vb.

I would like to have a button beside the send button that allows me to send
with receipt. Got that figured out, well, kind of...

What I would like to change is I would only like the 'receipt' button to be
visible when I am in the editing mode (?) (when the standard tool bar shows
'send' , not when the standard tool bar shows 'reply' or 'forward').

Is there any way to do this? If not, is there a way to modify the code so
that the button is disabled in the 'reply' mode?

Hope that this question makes sense......

I think the Sent property on the item might be what you're looking for.

Figured out how to make it work. I added the button by hitting the 'New Mail
Message', and adding the 'receipt' button there.

I opened a received email, and I saw the 'reply', 'reply all', 'forward' and
'reciept' buttons. I hit reply and I could see the 'send' and 'receipt'
buttons.

To remove the 'receipt' button from the recieved email, all I did was remove
it from that active window. It remained beside the 'send' button in all
iterations (reply, forward and new)
