Burning a CD-R

S

Sam Smith

Is there a way to make Win 2000 burn to a CD-R like XP
can do? I have a little zip backup bat file that will
write to a formated CD-RW but I would rather write to CD-
R disks instead. I don't want to have to use a third
party CD burner program.

Without a third party utility, WIn2K won't do anything to write cd-r or
cd-rw.
If you install roxio ezced creator (the one I'm familiar with), you can
format a cd-r with Direct-CD and use command line copy command to fill it.

I don't know how to eject the disc from the command line, or format it from
the command line.
