Hello

I've downloaded iso file from internet. I use xp sp2 home.

I now want to burn it on cd which will be used asa bootable media when I
have difficulty starting windows or want to repair the faults. But the iso
file is inside a folder. So will the cd boot with the folder containing the
iso image ? Thank you.

Since you mentioned that you downloaded the iso file from the internet,
i believe you have a pirated copy. I would request you to buy an
original windows XP cd, which is booatable by default.

He did not say he downloaded XP in an iso.. he said he was using XP and had
downloaded an ISO... it could be any iso!

Your burner may have come with a CD writer program like NERO
or you can use one of these:

ISORecorder V2 - for Windows XP SP2 and Windows 2003

http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm

or

CDBurnerXP Pro is a free CD/DVD burning solution.
With this software you can burn CD-R, CD-RW DVD+R/RW DVD-R/RW discs. All
features in detail you can read on the features page.

Thank you for your replies.

You got it right John I did not d/l xp in an iso. It is a iso which I want
to burn on Cd. So I remove the folder and burn just the iso image on the CD.

I use Nero 7 Premium > Nero StartSmart. Which option do I choose ? Will it
be Burn Image to Disc under Backup ? Thank you.
