Build in DVD Matshita displayed under "Safely Remove hardware""

After installation of a USB memory stick the DVD Matshita drive E: (build in
my notebook) shows up under "the "Safely Remove Hardware"icon. Even if I pull
the memory stick out the icon is still present. System restore didn't help.

Please, please who can help me out, because now my DVD drive can accidentely
be removed.

In addition to my post:

The problem is even greater than I thought. If I try to hide the icon with
Taskbar>properties>customize it doesn't disappear also not after reboot.

Very annoying problem, please help me.
