Build 5728 key activates but fails validation

Hi,

I'm a MSDN and CPP tester, upgraded a box from XP MCE to Vista RC1 ultimate,
but was disappointed the DVD codec had problems on the AMD K7 processor.
Upgraded that build to 5728 this morning. Both my MSDN and my CPP keys will
activate the box, but it's always listed as not genuine. Hence no Aero, no
non-critical updates. Both keys are completely kosher, and I've not used them
on > 5 boxes.

Why am I being labelled a pirate? :p

Have you called Microsoft for help? I needed help because Windows would
not activate with build 5728 from build 5600 RC1 -- Windows Vista
Ultimate with 32 bit [processor -- (possibly misspelled)] and I called
the Microsoft number provided and Microsoft was helpful and courteous.
Microsoft just wanted to be sure that I was not installing Windows Vista
on more than one computer which I had been granted permission for in
regards to testing. This is fair enough to me in my opinion. Try and
call Microsoft for help and hopefully they can provide you with an
acceptable solution.

No need now - it started working automatically after booting late Sunday
night. I guess someone at MS plugged in the validation server ;)

LOL, maybe it was because I replied to your post but they just may be
pride on my part. <grin>
