get bugcheck errors and event viewer shows stop 0xd1. now to tie the error
to a driver kb 314084 [ or 315271] says to run dumpchk.exe
c:\windows\memory.dmp and look for the exception address which can be
matched to pstat.exe generated driver list. first 314084 does not list and
exception address. there is a kddebugger data dlock 8053a2e0 and the
closest items on list are 804d4000[ ntoskrnl.exe, ver 5.1.266.1151] and
806b9000 [hal.dll ver 5.1.2600.1106] neither of which are a driver. need
info on how get that exception address or the cause of the error and dump.
the first error was 6-11-04 followed by 2 more by 6-12. suspect logitech
keyboard driver ver 2.22 installed 6-11 as per logitech to fix a problem.
software will not remove totally as it appears to have modified the alps
touchpad/keyboard software. removal of all logitech software and devices
under keyboard and mice [device mgr] on reboot do not reinstall the original
alps devices when new hardware is found[easy internet
keyboard...alps..laptop keyboard] get a msg that cannot find a file which is
from itouch[logitech] . even reinstalling the software from a sp pack on
compaq website will not on reboot load the alps devices. last resort was
restore point and then got the laptop back but generic devices. 4th error
was 6-14 after a day or so of running with what loaded. at present i have
unchecked the itouch in msconfig startup list . all devices present and up
over 7 hours straight.
need some suggestions
