I have a laptop running Windows XP Professional and have not had a problem
since I purchased it about a year ago. System has Service Pack 3 with weekly
schedualed updates. Computer will not boot in regular of safe mode, recieve
blue screen with error code 0x00000050(0x81etc...). Can you load the
Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool from the safe mode command prompt
or is it another problem.

From http://aumha.org/a/stop.htm (go there for more details)

0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Requested data was not in memory. An invalid system memory address was
referenced. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video
RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus
software) might cause this Stop message, as may other hardware problems
(e.g., incorrect SCSI termination or a flawed PCI card).

This is probably a hardware issue. Since the laptop is probably still under
warranty, contact the laptop mftr.'s tech support for repair/replacement.
Otherwise, do hardware troubleshooting or take the machine to a competent
local computer shop. I don't recommend a BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type of
place.
