After running my computer for about a straight 18 hours, downloading. i get a
BSOD (PFN List Corrupt) stop 0x000004E (0x0000008F, ox0006776A,0x0001776A). I
checked even viewer. It showed I had Error WMIAdapter Event 4099,
Error PerfNet
Event 2004,
Also Warning Userenv
Event 1517. I restarted the services Wmi Adapter, and the server. I was
wondering do you think these two services caused the BSOD? If not what should
i do? And the warning Userenv... How do you change the services either to
network or local service? thank you so much.

You might want to start by testing the ram using these two programs.
Downloaded create a bootable CD with each and run the diagnostics from
them. Let them run for some time, not just a single pass each.

Memtest86+

Windows Memory Diagnostic

For info on those events use this resource:

Yes i ran mem test 86 about amonth and half ago. Everything came back with
no errors! i ran each individual stick and then combined. and it came back
with no errors? The Memeory modules are compatiable. WHat elese do you
reccommend.

You could repost the full text of all error messages as each was
incomplete. This makes helping more difficult.

I suggest you Disable automatic restart on system failure. This should
help by allowing time to write down the STOP code properly. Right click
on the My Computer icon on the Desktop and select Properties, Advanced,
StartUp and Recovery, System Failure and uncheck box before
Automatically Restart.

Enable automatic restart on system failure after you have captured /
copied and pasted the message in a further post here.

There will also be Error Reports in Event Viewer. Please post copies.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Administrative Tools,
Event Viewer. When researching the meaning of the error, information
regarding Event ID, Source and Description are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;308427&Product=winxp

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Double click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. This will paste the info from the Event Viewer Error Report
complete with links into the message. Make sure this is the first paste
after exiting from Event Viewer.

Also what is the StartUp type for the Service WMI Performance. Select
Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services.

Have you made any recent hardware changes?

Hope this helps.

Did you run the other diagnostic. Sometimes one will find a problem
where the other did not. Try different RAM.

Look at the other articles in that link I gave.
