Hello there,

I have been fighting for the last 3 days to get my 2 computers see each others to share folders.
It seems that I am lock in a usual scenario where:

Computer1 sees Computer2,
can ping and net view per IP and Name both computers

Computer2 does not see anything,
can ping per IP and Name both computers,
can net view itself per IP and Names,
but cannot net view neither per IP neither per name Computer1

Thanks to Chuck and other web pages, I have been learning a lot about networking and went through most of the troubleshooting guidelines, but I am still stuck.

I have 2 questions:

1. What does it mean if browstat status instruction just return an empty line and does not give any information? (Even when extracting to a text file -> 0 byte)

2. Is there any restriction linked to guest accounts if computers are running windows XP in different languages (one spanish and other in english)?

Thank you very much for your help.

Best,
Yannick
