The Microsoft AntiSpyware (beta) is now obsolete and
has been replaced by Windows Defender. You need to
uninstall Microsoft AntiSpyware (beta) and install the
new Windows Defender program, which is free.

Note: The latest Windows Defender spyware definitions are
available for installation from the Microsoft Update web site.

Well now this is really strange because I downloaded and installed Windows
Defender on March 3rd. The revision number is
{29659A16-C4C5-4797-88DD-25EC57747C1E} and the file size is 6,715,392.

On that one the revision number is {ECB3E3D2-DC67-405E-BC5C-296A19E00D0E}
and the file size is 5,763,072

What gives?

Oh and do I actually need to uninstall AntiSpyware or will installing
Windows Defender get rid of it automatically?

Thanks for taking the time to respond to this by the way.

Oh no. Not more bad news!!!!!! Replaced - not yet please.
When do MS pull the plug? My MS Antispyware beta 1 updated 30 minutes ago
;-) ;-) ;-). It may be obsolete but it is working and not causing probs
like Defender is/has been for some who changed.
It is still alive and kicking and has another 102 days to go.
