Browser issues

We have a Novell Server without a Windows DC. The workstations are a mixture
of Windows 98, 2000 and XP Professional. We get a lot of master browser
errors logged in the event logs of the workstations.
Is there a specific way to configure a master browser for a workgroup
without a domain?
Any help will be appreciated.
