Browser Ads but not popups???

My son's computer is receiving unwanted web-browser ads. He has a
popup blocker and Ad-aware, but neither are helping.

I'm not sure these would be considered popups anyway. They open even
when Internet Explorer is not open and has not been opened after
rebooting.

Is there anyway to stop this? It is driving us nuts!

You might want to try running Spybot: Search and Destroy from
http://www.spybot.safer-networking.de/. It's a great freeware program that
can help in getting rid of many of these unwanted bits of programming
sitting on your computer.

spybot safer-networking.org update and scan on easy.

if they are xp messenger ad's then you can disable in the
services panal.(not to be confused with windows messenger)
