Broken Spell check

S

Sean Pieroth

I was typing a report and about halfway through, my spellcheck stoped
working. I am a very bad speller, so I could tell somthing was wrong. When i
went to do it manually by clicking the button, i got two error messages, one
for spelling and one for grammar, and then the spelling/grammar is complete
message.

There are possibly a couple of things happening here. If you have more
misspellings than Word can deal with, it will stop displaying them with wavy
lines, telling you, "There are too many errors in this document." But if you
run the spell check and Word says something about not checking text that was
marked as "Do not check spelling or grammar," then Ctrl+A to select the
entire document, go to Tools | Language | Set Language, and totally clear
the box for "Do not check spelling or grammar" (you may need to click twice
to clear it).
