Hi All,
I recently purchased a Canon IP5300 and was very pleased with the price and
quality of print. And it's so very quite as well.
I have rarely used this printer (maybe 5 times) but since about the 3rd time
I used it, I get an ink tank error on the PGBK tank every time I turn it on.
The orange led flashes 15 times which means the printer cant recognise an
ink tank. The first 3 or 4 times this happened I simply removed and refitted
the same tank and I was able to print. Now this technique doesn't work.
Anyone else had similar problems? Or any other issues with their IP series
printers?
I went to the Canon Australia site except their online contact form breaks
(and still doesn't work 10 days later). Interestingly, the application
throws out a fair amount of error info including the database password. I
sent an e-mail to Canon telling them of both the form error and the fact
that the db password is displayed. I took a guess at the address and didn't
get a bounce though I had no response. I will call them tomorrow.
