Boots to XP boot logo

I am new to this environment so please be patient with me. I have install XP Professional and XP Embedded Tools on a C: partition. I am creating my runtime image on D:. I have resolved a lot of my problems by reading through this archive. I am to the point where I boot to my embedded image; my system hangs at the Windows XP logo. The last problem that I fixed was the "Microsoft Product Activation" problem. Prior to fixing that problem my XP embedded image would give me a login and shutdown button on the desktop. I have read though the archives; I have seen where users have reported similar problems but not this one. Any advice?

Thanks In Advance.

Hi Carl,

Start by:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/embedded/community/tips/xp/runtimepartition
..asp

Then read other titles you will find two that deal with 7b and 6b BSOD.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/embedded/community/tips/xp/default.asp

Just ask if you need more info.

Regards,
Slobodan

Carl,

Does the XPe image hang at the XP logo screen or do you see a blue screen?
If it is the blue screen, you may want to mention here what the error you
see there.

If the image just hangs, you may want to add "/SOS" switch to your boot.ini
XPe ARC path to see what driver is causing the hang.
Also, the best choice would always be for Kernel Debugger. Adding
appropriate switches to the boot.ini file and connecting remotely to the
target machine may help you a lot in finding out the "bad" component
(driver).

Carl,

You might not correctly set the partition size in Target Designer project
settings.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/embedded/community/tips/xp/partition.asp

Also, just in case you are creating non-evaluation image check the PID
number you put under the settings. It should be the number from one (anyone)
of the stickers you got from your XPe distributor. The PID format should be
"5x5" (xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx).

I added the NTFS componet in TD to myu runtime inmage and my error message
changed back to the "Windows Product Activation" problem. I get a pop up
window with the following message " A problem is preventing Windows from
accurately checking the license for this computer. Error Code 0x80070002.
Here are the files that are not loaded in my ntbtlog.txt file:
