boot up problem

As my computer was infected and Contol panel was not visible,in Safe
Mode I ran "SmitFraudfix" and AVG antivirus.Then ,I tried to bootup in
Normal Mode.But , after Login Screen only mouse pointer is visible and
no Desktop icon is visible.

Please help.

A few things to try:

- Press Ctrl/Alt-Delete to open Task Manager. Click File, "New Task
(Run...)", type

Explorer.exe and press the Enter key. Does that bring up the Desktop
icons?

- Restart in Safe Mode, and see if the icons show up.

- Run these:

If they won't run in regular mode, restart the computer, press F5
repeatedly, select Safe Mode with Networking, and run Malwarebytes
there. Then run both in regular mode.
