Boot up error message

Everytime I start my computer I get and error message stating that my
machine is "sorry for the inconvenience.....". The message asks me to start
the machine normally, or to revert to the last know good configuration. I've
tried both to no avail. Envetually the machine will boot and run normally,
but it takes a good 5-6 minutes. The computer itself is a Dell XPS 400 and is
only about 6 months old.
All of this started when I moved into a new house about 2 months ago. The
computer was 100% fine before the move, but it's never been right since. It
wasn't dropped, or damaged in anyway in the move that I am aware of.
I had some trouble with the Yahoo Music service I use which wasn't working
properly after the move. They told me several things to do to get the program
working properly. however, in so doing they seem to have caused the boot up
error message. Now the music program sort of runs normally, but now the whol
machine boots slowly.
I've run every anti spy/virus/malware thing I can think of and they all say
my computer is completely clean.
Any ideas?

Thank you,
Karl A.

I would reccomend running a chkdsk just to make sure nothing happened
to your hard drive during the move.

in the run box type, cmd, and at prompt type in 'chkdsk /f C:' (without
quottations) and when it says volume is locked would u like to run on
restart click Y. it takes about 30 minutes or so depending on the
computer. this will let you know if anything happened to your hard
drive during the move.

If that comes out cleans, go into msconfig, and look at the process
that run upon startup, and anything that isn't competly necessary
disable and restart and see if the error message/slow boot up time
still occur.

I use alot of deep removal programs that can tend to make your pc run slow even after msconfig is properly setup. Feel free to e-mail me at (e-mail address removed). Last guy I helped this way fixed over 1200 problems from 7 years. Restarts in less than a minute.
