My hard disk failed to boot up and would like to boot the pc using a CD-ROM.
Can someone advise how to create a bootable disk to check/repair hard disk.

Thanks,

What exactly does it say on your Windows XP CD?

What is your computer make and model?

Ability to boot from CD depend on the PC and its accompanying bios setup.

Preferrably to attempt repair of a hard drive, the manufacturer's software
is needed.

All of this information was not noted in your post.

Hypocrisy. Big SUV, filament lights on all night. You think your neighbor
should be changiing to compact fluorescent light bulbs and driving the
hybrid.

Dave,

I tried two system recovery programs: Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery
and Recovery My File without success. The pc does not detect the drive,
Fujitsu MHV2100BH hard disk, at all. It appears to me that it is dead
permanently. Very bad!!
