Bold disappears in outline

I'm writing my dissertation and making much use of Word
2002's outline function. All my headings (1,2,3,4, etc.)
are formatted to be bold, and that's how they appear in
normal view. They used to appear in bold in outline view
as well, but the other day came up regular. How can I get
the bold formatting back in outline view as well?

Robert,

You must have inadvertently clicked the Show Formatting button on the
outlining toolbar; it is 2 buttons to the right of the All button and its
looks somewhat like "A/A".
Click it and bold will reappear.
