bluescreen after system32/gag30pxkg.sys

Windows bluescreen at the beginning of startup. In safemode bluescreen
appears after loading the following file <gag30pxkg.sys>. Booting with XP or
2000 CD doesn't work. It's the same bluescreen after choosing new
installation or repair console. Linux is still functioning and suggests to
run chkdsk on XP systempartition. Cannot run chkdsk because I have no
utitility which worked (dos bootdisk doesn't recognize the partitions, win 98
too). Failure caused because I had no Monitor cable and I pressed <alt+F4>
and <win+u+u> to reboot windows. Then the bios speech system told me that the
function for a better accessibility was turned on. So I think this was the
bios and not already windows. Then i resetted the PC and the failure was on.
What can I try to solve the problem?
Thank you

A google web search fails to discover a single reference anywhere to a
file named gag30pxkg.sys.

This suggests that your computer has been infested by some sort of
virus/trojan/spyware and you should proceed on that basis.

What functions, if any, did you run after booting to the XP Recovery
Console? You should at least use CHKDSK C: /R and then reboot the
system when requested.

If that doesn't fix the problem then you need to scan the hard drive
for possible malware. If you have another functioning computer that
is running Windows XP then the easiest way of doing this is to remove
the hard drive from the problem machine and install it temporarily as
a second hard drive in the working machine. Then you can boot that
machine and scan the second hard drive with appropriate anti-malware
tools.

Good luck

Very nice idea to google the file. Thank you. I'm sorry, but I missspelled
the file (short time to notice before windows automatically reboot) I now
googled the correct filename <system32/driver/gagp30kx.sys> AGP driver. I
found a lot of posts with nearly the same problem, but without reasonable
answers, so I gonna read the 4500 results;-)
http://www.techsupportforum.com/asus/50889-asus-k8v-se-deluxe-reboot.html

My specification are:
Asus A8v Deluxe (2 disks on onboard Promise SATA Raid Controller in IDE Mode)
Radeon fx5200
This suggests that your computer has been infested by some sort of

So it is not malware.

I cannot do any function, because the bluescreen appears after booting the
recovery console. So it does when I try to install Win xp new.

I'm gonna try some bios settings on AGP. Them I try to copy a new version of
the driver into the drivers section (dont know how, cause I cannot boot and
linux can't change only-read permission)
This seems not to be very helpful, but I gonna spend some hours.

Do you know a good hint?
Thank you

I have never encountered a situation where a blue screen error occurs
when booting to the Recovery Console and can't find any specific
information about this type of behavior. Because the Recovery
Console involves loading only minimal generic drivers I would tend to
suspect a hardware related cause.

What is the actual content of the blue screen? That might provide an
additional clue.

Good luck

Additional informations: My CPU was overclocked. A loaded the bios defaults
and changed the Raid mode to IDE mode and the Graphic buffer from 64MB to
128MB.
Now I can't even boot from the XP CD. After the message "press button to
boot from CD" the screen is black. When I boot from the disk the system hangs
(as before) after loading the gagp30kx.sys. Then the bluescreen comes "page
fault in ..." and so on.
I d'ont think it is a hardware failure, because linux is still functioning.

I have no idea hot to continue

That part about "Then the bluescreen comes "page >fault in ..." and so
on." is exactly the information that is absolutely essential in order
to have any hope of helping you to resolve the problem. Need all of
the error codes and parameters reported with this message as well.

Good luck
