I've had the problem of my computer suddenly coming up with the 'blue
screen of death' for quite a while now but have not been able to
figure out what to do about it. It happens almosts always when I
click a hyperlink (could be anything and anywhere) and it hesitates
for about 5 to 10 seconds and then comes up with the blue screen.
its not always the same but the most common one seems to be:
STOP: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, 0xF95E5F13, 0xF2C13B60, 0x00000000)
npfs.sys - Address F95E5F13 base at F95E1000, Datestamp 3b7d837b
sometimes it has: STOP: 0x00000044 (0x81D89D00, 0x00000D60,
0x00000000, 0x00000000)
Its creating dump files if that helps identifying my problem. System
restore is not really an option as it has been doing this since before
my oldest restore point.
