blue screen. login to do back-up

When turning on my computer a blue screen apears. Called the manufacter of my
computer, the sent me dvds reinstall my programs which will delete all my
files. I'm trying to get into my computer to back up my files but it wont let
me. I continue going back to the same blue screen. The memory on my computer
exceeds the requirement for the computer. Example, the maximum storage space
is 1250mb, I have installed 1251mb of memory into my computer. Can you help?
Is there a way to save my files?

Please state the exact error that is displayed on the screen.
it's called a windows stop error, once you have that you can do a search on
google or yahoo, and it will tell you what the numbers mean.

Fastest way is to take out your Hard Drive and install it in another computer as a Slave. Then pull off all your Data and then re-install system after putting back the HD into your computer as Master
