My system is crashing every few hours with this message. Previously posted
about this, but did not include this info about error.

Does this have any information that leads to cause or source of error? Win
XP Pro, Intel 865 PerlMB , Intel 2.8 HT processor, 1gb memory, 400 watt
power supply.

0x0000007F: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP
(Click to consult the online Win XP Resource Kit article, or see Windows
2000 Professional Resource Kit, p. 1558.)
One of three types of problems occurred in kernel-mode: (1) Hardware
failures. (2) Software problems. (3) A bound trap (i.e., a condition that
the kernel is not allowed to have or intercept). Hardware failures are the
most common cause (many dozen KB articles exist for this error referencing
specific hardware failures) and, of these, memory hardware failures are the
most common.
a.. General Causes {KB 137539} Win NT, Win 2000, Win XP
b.. Windows Stops Responding with Stop Error 0x7F Error Message {KB
814789} Win 2000, Win XP (when running Terminal Services)

Hi, I'd say send it back to the seller, but I think you already killed the
warranty by changing all the parts out. So have fun

Hello

The only hardware, I changed is the memory, and there is no seller. I had
the machine built locally by a tech and I specked the parts. So I am seeking
help on what to do next. Having to do this my self is the disadvantage of
not having bought a Dell, etc. All the parts carry at least a one year
warranty. And I did not kill the warranty

Any Advice would be appreciated. . .. The other changes were software
changes.

Check out your hardware:

1. Make sure your CPU and case temperatures are OK.
Make sure the CPU fan, case fans, and any other fans
are working.

2. Reseat all the modules and cables inside your computer.

3. Run "memtest86" (download from http://www.memtest86.com)
to thoroughly check out your memory. You should get
zero errors.

4. Run a full set of hardware diagnostics. ("diag378.exe",
downloadable from ftp://ftp1.dell.com/diags, after a few
complaints, will run on most non-Dell computers.)
You should get zero errors.
