Blocked attachment

In Outlook 2003 MDB and other attachments are blocked. If someone sends you
an attachment which is blocked can you retrieve that attachment? In other
words, does Outlook store that attachment anywhere or is it permanently
deleted?

Hi Terry,
no it is not deleted. It is only blocked,
but you can enable it via registry
START > RUN > REGEDIT > OK

Locate the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Security

EDIT | NEW | STRING

Type LEVEL1REMOVE and press Enter

Select the LEVEL1REMOVE | EDIT | MODIFY

Type f.e. bat; cmd; exe; mdb in the Value data box and OK

Quit Registry Editor and Start Outlook.

Your answer is appreciated but, I think, explains how to unblock file types.
I am happy to have them blocked but I want to be able to get at them asmany I
know are OK. Where are the blocked files? Can I retrieve them?

Hi Terry,
no you can´t. You can do the following.
Create the level1remove key,
restart Outlook
Save your attachments you want to save
Export the regKey
And delete the regKey in the registry.
So you can always import the key, if you have an blocked attachment to save.
