Block content/message body-download on identified spam

I've had a recent up-surge in the volume of spam I receive. I'm wondering if
lately the spammers are using a way to validate a good email address with
what appears to be some kind of URL? For example:

(don't put that in your browser)

When I go to check the "Junk Email" folder, the first message is
automatically selected, if this is in the first email it gets "dowloaded"
(???). It looks like a work around to identify a good address.

Is there a current and more flexible way to filter/block either the full
content/message-body for only the Junk E-mail folder (not just certain image
files)? I can tell 99% of the time if the message is valid just by the
subject line.

They are called web bugs and can be used to track you.

What version of outlook do you use? Outlook 2003 blocks images so you can't
be tracked unless you enable images.
