I paid money for this system monitoring tool to monitor my families actions,
Why is it showing up as spyware ? Is there any way to have Microsoft update
there signatures ?

Sorry Patty, I don't think your going to get much empathy on this forum:

Threat type: Commercial Key Logger - A commercial key logger is a program that
is installed by the user of a computer to explicitly monitor the activity of
other users. These types of program can be installed using stealth tactics to
hide themselves from other users. In addition these programs can be purchased
from commercial organizations for this use.

Advice: Remove

Threat risk: Severe Risk
Severe threats typically are remotely exploitable vulnerabilities, which can
lead to system compromise. Successful exploitation does not normally require any
interaction and exploits are in the wild. There exists a high possibility of
potential system damage or security flaw. Attacker has complete control over
your computer or install new software on your machine.

This "system monitoring tool" is not described as spyware by Microsoft
Antispyware, right? Read the description and see whether you feel it is
accurate.

If this application were installed on your machine and you were not aware of
it, would you be pleased to have it called out to you?

In a corporate situation, future versions of what we are now testing, as
incorporated into the Microsoft Client Protection subscription service--will
I'm sure allow for not alerting the local user about a given finding.

For now, choose "always ignore." and that should take care of it.

Quoting plun:
Some people thinks that we can have legitimate keyloggers !?
Spy on children, wife, husband and so on ! Maybe family therapy
is better !? Or Dr Phil......... ;)

Quoting Blazing Tools Software own description of Personal Keylogger:
We are producing the new versions very frequently, so you can be sure that you
always will have the most modern spy software!

Whether you write spyware, distribute spyware, or buy spyware, you are still
engaged in facilitating spyware, IMHO, that should be illegal. The question
was, "why does Microsoft AntiSpyware DETECT a keylogger as spyware." Enough
said.

Hi Patty

It must be better if you and your family sits
down a discuss about Internet and all dangers.

I don´t think it´s good for you to sit and read
other family members Messenger conversations etc in secret.

The best you can do is to discuss Internet maybe withhelp
from these MS pages:

http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/children/default.mspx

Good luck and my best advice is to uninstall this evil software...... !
