Blank Screen at the windows login screen

Hi, I'm having an very frustrating issue with me.

Ok, I've just reformatted my computer with windows xp pro, downloaded most
of the windows updates then turned off the computer to go out. But I
haven't install video card drivers or anything hoping that it will load up
with the default video the next time I turn it now

Anyway I turn it on again I can go to the windows startup and view the boot
script, just fine. but when I go to the desktop, I cannot see anything on my
computer, basically can blank screen.

I considered using multiple moniters, video cards and it is the same issue,
Please advise

You'll need to find the right video driver.

Two thoughts: 1) start in safe mode by pressing f8 before you see the first
windows startup screen.

whoops - 2 is a non-starter: I was going to suggest coming in via Remobe
Desktop, but you haven't reached the point of being able to set a password
on an account or enabling that, so I don't think that is going to work.
