blank.pot

Does the default template that PowerPoint picks up HAVE to be called
blank.pot (or blank.potx for 2007)? Can it be named something else but be
the default that is picked up automatically when you open PowerPoint (2007)?
Thanks

If you want PowerPoint to pick it automatically, it has to be called
"blank.pot(x)". AFAIK there is no option in PowerPoint to tell it, that
another one is the default.

If you right-click the design thumbnail and Save As Default, PPT makes it
the default but doesn't rename it to blank.pot(x) -- I think that's how it
works, anyway. You might try it.

Otherwise, yeah, you need to name it blank.pot(x) and put it in the
appropriate folder.
