Black screen for my Windows Vista

Hello, I was installing my new Windows Vista rc1. All the instalation was ok,
first the updates.. well you know.. but when I reboot my computer and I turn
on again never I can se my Windows, first I select Windows xp or Vista, I put
Vista and Vista start runing, appear some bar green and then just my screan
appear black!!! and I can't see my Windows Vista!!! Please Help!! I try safe
mode but I can't the machine say "try to finish your instalation first" but I
can't becouse my screen is black!!! and the hdd do not do nothing.. I have an
Averatec c3500 Series is a Tablet Pc 512 MB 2 partitions. Please help me,

I have found the same problem and have gotten around it. You need to
disable your USB drives/card reader during the installation and
possibly whenever you run Vista. I have found that if my USB card
reader is turned on during install, the install gets confused (I think
this is what's going on) about where it's data source is.

Also, once installed, and after drivers are all loaded, on a reboot it
gets confused about which drive to boot from and comes up to a black
screen just as you described.

So... the fix I've found is to go into the BIOS and turn off the USB
before installing. If you are installing on the C: partition (first
partition of first drive) you should be able to re-enable the bios and
run fine after the installation. If you are not installing Vista on
the first partition of the first drive, then there is a good chance
that you will not be able to boot Vista successfully with the USB
enabled.

Hi larry Thanks for your help.. I found the solution!!! it was my video
card!! I just conect one monitor to my tablet pc and it work! and then I
configure the propieties of my screan and put first monitor to my LCD and now
is working!!!!! thanks for your help!!
