bizzare print server and AD problem

Hi.
We are a school that has 3 (HP) network printers and 3 non-
network printers with LinkSys Print Servers attached (thus
making them networkable).

All seemed fine as I set up the first print server and the
office was happy.

All printers (3+3) are using the DC/AD machine as a print
server and users use AD to map their chosen printers. No
problems.

As I said the 1st print server was setup and the office
used it. Well I guess they only printed Word,Excel, etc.

Because when I installed #2 & #3 today (in other offices)
we discovere a bizarre problem:
* If you print from a user and through Word, Excel or
Print a test Page....all is fine.
* When you print from an AD user and try to print through
IE (and OWA through IE (6)) you get "You do not have
privilages to use the choosen printer" and it grays out
the PRINT button on any of the print servers but not on
the HP printers.
* When you print from an AD user through Outlook and your
printer default is one of the LinkSys Print servers it
says "You have no printer configured" but if you get your
default to one fo the HP network printers you get such
message
* When you print from the AD Server you can print to all
through all applications (web, etc)
* When you are on a client as local admin you can print to
all through all apps
*I moved a user out of any OUs into a top level OU with no
GPO (usually cancels any OU/GPO problem) and logged in as
said user...and STILL get the "You dont have permission to
use this printer" when using IE
* I went to AD/DC Securty settings for this printer and
added user with all rights....and still no luck.

This is beyond bizzare.

I'm an MCSE/Comp Sci MS and I have NEVER seen a bizzare
one like this.

I appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks
Bill

I will get a screen shot of the error tomm at school but
the most sinilar thing I can find while searching the
knowledge base is:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;259937&Product=win2000
Error Message: You Do Not Have Sufficient Access to Your
Machine to Connect to the Selected Printer
(Im NOT using terminal services though)
and
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;279753&Product=win2000
Error Message: You Do Not Have Sufficient Access to Your
Machine to Connect to the Selected Printer

*** My guess: I need to set something in the GPO that
allows an IE required or an Outlook required ?driver? for
the print server.
OR somehow the print server is in a different domain(??)

Thanks
Bill
