Birthdays not showing up on Calendar as Events

I have a client who has created contacts and added their
birthday on the Details tab. Most of the birthdays
display on his calendar as events, but there are several
contacts whose birthday does not display.

He has found that on some of them he can open the
contact, click on the Details tab, and then just click on
the Birthday field (not make any changes), save and close
the contact and it will then update the calendar. (He
doesn't want to have to do this on all of his contacts.)
He has some contacts, however, that this does not correct
the problem. The birthday doesn't show up no matter what
he does.

He said that on the day in the calendar where the
birthday should appear he has MANY events displaying. Is
there a limit to the number of events that will display
on one day in the calendar? Or, can you give me any
suggestions that he can try to get this to display.

He has entered the birthday by clicking on the down arrow
the the right of the field and clicked on the appropriate
day, as well as typing the date directly into the field.
Neither of these options has displayed the date into the
event section of the calendar.

I appreciate your help on this matter.

Do the missing events appear if he looks at a table view of his Calendar
folder, such as By Category?

He and I looked at his calendar By Category and the
entries do not show up there either. For additional
information, he made 20 entries onto existing contacts
today with January birthdays and anniversaries. Out of
the 20 entries, 3 of them do not display on the calendar.
The dates are 1/1, 1/10, and 1/15. Two of the entries
were birthdays and one was an anniversary. He is entering
the dates as their "real" birthdate/anniversary (i.e.,
01/01/1945.)

I appreciate any help you can give us on this problem!

It's odd that the birthday events wouldn't show up in the By Category view.
There is a limit to the number of events that can appear per day in the
Day/Week/Month view; the exact number depends on your screen resolution.
But I don't know why they wouldn't appear in By Category. Try an Advanced
Find to see if the missing events show up anywhere at all...

It is odd that these events aren't showing up when all of
the rest of them do. I had him do the advanced find and
the dates don't show up on there either. But, when he
opens the contact card for each of these people, the
dates are in the birthday and/or anniversary fields. It
just doesn't make any sense to me. I had him check the
time and make sure that his computer was set to the
correct time, time zone, and to automatically update for
daylight savings time. We have found that to cause
problems before, but his was set correctly.

I'll let you know if I think of anything else, and you
let me know if you come up with anything. Thank you!!

I am having the same problem with anniversary date in my calendar. They are in the clients information correctly but are not on the calendar anywhere. IF anyone can tell me how to refersh (or update) a calendar so that is goes through and re-read all the client info to add any missing dates that would be very helpful

I have found that you can go into each of those individual clients and change the anniverary or birthday date in an existing file and that make them show up on the calendar. ( I sis that with a few of mine, changed it to the day before and checking the calendar - was there, so I changed it back to the right date and then it was still there on the calendar) But I have about 1000 plus client in mine and to that for each one this is missing - will that is why I was using Outlook in the first place - Not worth it

But if anyone knows how to do a mass update I would love to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
