Don;
Did you also install the update?
Contact Dell for support or see the Dell newsgroup:

Many thanks for help Jupiter. My problem is that when I restart (as advised
by Dell) with the downloaded floppy update, nothing happens. Computer just
goes straight into Windows. Even when I change the boot sequence I just get
"Non system disc" message. I'm also begining to get a bit worried about
flashing the BIOS after reading some of the dire warnings on this Group site.

Thanks Wesley for assistance. Do you mean that the Update from Dell on the
floppy is not enough ? Dell just say to restart with this in. I even tried
changing Boot sequence but just get "Non System Disc" message.

I installed a bios update from Dell some time back, on the download page I
was given the option to download and place it on a floppy like you have done
or to download an .exe file that had a windows interface, I chose the latter
the file ran and my computer rebooted, when it was rebooting the bios update
was installed with no problem.
Go back to the Dell download page and see if you have this option for your
make and model.
