best-search pop up

whenever i click on some links, usually links for videos, or those links that look like embedded buttons, like the GO button on this site, i get a pop up for this site http://www.best-search.info/1525/ and the link i clicked on does not execute. i have to right click and save the file i want to download to use it or see it. i cannot do this for every link however. i cannot even log on to my college site. ive already done scans, norton, adware, spybot. nothing helped. i also tried cwsshredder, that removed two files into my recycling bin, but instead of getting redirected to the old site after clicking a link, i just get an error message and the web adress is http:///

Did you also run HijackThis? If so, post a link to where you posted the log,
maybe something got overlooked.

If not, install and run HijackThis. Do NOT make any changes immediately. Save
the HJT Log. Then have your HJT log interpreted by experts at one or more of
the following forums (and post it here):
