David...I've been nice about your attempts to moderate. Back-off.

I believe this is relevant information for this (or any) group. That you
do not is your prerogative. Please do not create noise by trying to
net-cop the group. I make my own decisions.

BB you are the one creating noise. You already posted "Approved List of
SOPA supporters" and you'll keep coming up with excuses.

Virus Guy was correct in bringing it On Topic by putting the anti
malware industry in context to this subject matter. You, on the other
hand, have not. If you do not SPECIFICALLY tie SOPA/PIPA to is direct
connection with malware, COMSEC, anti malware or the anti malware
industry then you are posting Off Topic.

If you want to bring up SOPA/PIPA then do so in _relevance_ to its
connection with; malware, COMSEC, anti malware or the anti malware
industry. One can argue many things in politics affect the Internet but
in this news group you need to bring it in scope to the subject matter
pertaining to its charter or it is Off Topic.

I don't need you to tell me what is/isn't On Topic. I have been in this
news group, posting and replying, since Steve Sprague first proposed its
creation and know its charter well.
I've been alive since 1946...big deal. You are wasting your time trying
to tell me what to do.

Be intelligent, discuss things in relevance to the subject matter of
this news group.

BTW: PIPA/SOPA legislations have been shelved - EoS
You've already admitted SOPA /is/ relevant. We'll have to wait and see
what is done with SOPA. If you think it is over, you are wrong. Quit
pissing in the wind David.

You see my friend what is wrong with the internet today? It is
effectively closed. Most people don't post in unmoderated forums like
this one anymore. Consequently, can you imagine the censorship if
Dave was the moderator of this group? He would not let your post
through, nor mine. And that's what's wrong with SOPA. In SOPA (and
indeed in the existing Digital Millennium Act in the USA) all it takes
is one person to complain about you, and they shut you down. Guilty
until proven innocent. That's wrong. They should raise the standard
of proof beyond a mere allegation.
