Amazing. I agree with you on this one. Norton does suck.

It's not amazing. I agree with most of the MVPs here that all-in-one
security solutions are more trouble than they are worth.

I'm just have a special wrath for Symantec because Norton AV used to be a
good product, many moons ago.

Well now, if you were forced to use Symantec then you would use
Symantec.

No, I'd chose the consequences of not capitulating to that force, no
matter how painful.

Though I can understand why you would believe that there is no other
option other than giving in to that force, most conformists wouldn't.

So you would rather lose your job than use what was required of you?
Whatever floats your boat.

I wouldn't work for an employer that was so stupid in the first place.

And yes, if it was a matter of principle, I'd rather lose me job than
suck ass.

Hey, that's just me. Most people don't have the courage to stand up for
their principles no matter what.

Frankly I don't recommend any all-in-one product. Get a good antivirus
product and use the existing firewall and malware protection that Vista
contains. That's it!

I agree. I just use NOD32. It's very light on resources, and very
effective in independent tests.
