What sort of beginner? New to programming? New to C++? Or just new to
VC++.net?

The MSPress Book is pretty good, but may be slightly basic if you have
existing C/C++ knowledge.

I am familiar with OOP (dBASE dbl) but no C/C++ experience at all.
