Beefing up Windows Live Onecare antivirus

I've just installed Windows Live One care on my version of Vista Business
and I'd like to beef up the antivirus protection. Are AVAST and/or NOD32
compatible with Live One care?

If you have one of those, don't use OneCare. I'd only run one anti-virus
program on a system.

I have only One Care now. Do I need to consider uninstalling One Care and
buying NOD32 or Bit Defender? I like the backup function and tune up
functions on One Care so I'd rather not uninstall if I don't have to.

Windows Live! OneCare is a joke; less than worthless. Not only does it fail
miserably as an antivirus app:

http://tech.cybernetnews.com/2007/02/07/windows-live-onecare-anti-virus-package-fails-vb100-test/

but it also destroys your email messages:

With the track record that Windows has with the basic security of it's OSes,
why would you *ever* trust them with the very security of you computer?

Best advice you'll receive this month:

Uninstall Windows Live! OneCare immediately.
