BCM "cannot connect to the accounting system" can't invoice... hel

I recently installed accounting 08 after having migrated my BCM and old
database to a new machine. BCM appears to be okay except for the fact that I
can't convert an existing opportunity to an invoice. And I suspect this will
happen with all future opportunities, invoices, etc.., which really throws a
wrench into everything. Here's the error:

"Business Contact Manager for Outlook cannot connect to the accounting
system.

The Business Contact Manager database is integrated with an accounting
application. However, the accounting application does not appear to be
installed on your computer. Please make sure the accounting application is
correctly installed and configured, then try again."

...now, this is extremely weird because Accounting 08 IS INSTALLED. Prior to
this, I had Accounting 07 installed and my previous database that I copied
over kept giving me some sort of "incompatible version" error, so I
uninstalled 07 and actually switched to 08, thinking it might fix things. It
was able to update the database. Everything appeared okay since my product
list was intact, etc. But now I've hit a brick wall and lost all this
functionality!

Any suggestions? I don't care what I have to do to fix this. I'll even do
reg edits, tweak txt files, whatever, but I really just need to get this
working as I'm losing time and money!

I appreciate any insight,
Steve

It's possible tht your product list simply has the last snap shot BCM
fetched form the acounting system. If you update the product list in
MOA, and refresh the product list in BCM, does BCM show the latest
changes?

Does MOA 2008 indicate that it is integrated with BCM? If it has the
menu item to integrate, it does think it is integrated. If it shows
the menu item to unintegrate, then it considers itself integrated.

Luther, thanks for your reply.

BCM doesn't seem to reflect any product list changes made in MOA. Also, MOA
2008 actually shows the unintegrate option. I've done backups, restores,
unintegrated and re-integrated all while first trying to get this to work, to
no avail. Is there any way to be sure they're both using the same db? Or
might there be a way to point BCM to MOA via some config file or something
within the db so that it references it correctly? (maybe due to the fact that
I originally had the db on another machine) I would even uninstall and
re-install both if it would work.
