BCM 2007 Mailmerge fields

Hi,

Just running a mailmerge from BCM 2007 via Word 2007, through a campaign.
I am unable to map the "Title" (Mr, Mrs, etc) field from contacts in BCM
through to the mailmerge in Word. Am I missing something, or is this a
major omission / bug?

When sending formal letters I need to be able to use the form: "Mr Fred
Smith" in the address block, then "Dear Mr Smith" in the greeting line.
This does not appear to be possible, as I cannot access the Title /
Salutation from Word. I guess I could use one of the other fields that is
exposed to Word mailmerge for the title, but this seems a little backwards,
and means I will have to edit all my contacts.

Any ideas...?

For best results, make sure that you start the merge from Outlook, not Word. That will ensure you have access to all the fields in Outlook for your merge document.

Thanks Sue,

I did indeed start the Merge from Outlook (well, BCM) by launching a new
campaign. When this did not expose the fields I needed, I then tried it
direct from Word.

Still no success I'm afraid - I think this must be a limitation of BCM.

I was thinking of Outlook's built-in Tools | Mail Merge command. What BCM does with its campaigns I don't know. THe folks on the microsoft.public.outlook.bcm are more likely to have that information.
