Hi,

My laptop battery is not charging up to 100%. It is charging up to 53% only.
I brought this laptop 1 year back and since 1 week I am facing this problem.

How to set battery maximum charge percentage in vista? Can any one help me
?

Thanks

Batteries only have so many charge/discharge cycles before they start losing
capacity. Check with your laptop manufacturer to see if they have a
recommended program or process for trying to recover battery capacity. If
they do not, or they have a process and it fails, then the battery may
simply be ready to be replaced.

Check with your laptop's manufacturer. It is very likely that the
reason for the problem is the number of times you've charged it, and
you may need a new battery.

Unless it's defective, the battery shouldn't lose capacity
in just one year. It may need a calibration. To do a
calibration, turn off all battery alarms and automatic
shut down settings in Power Options. Then let the
laptop run on battery until it fully discharges. After
that, charge the battery with the laptop off until it's
fully charged. Then you can turn on the laptop and
restore your battery power settings. I have an HP
laptop and HP recommends this procedure to restore
battery calibration.
