Bar graph in Access reports

I have a report in Access where I've used the Chart Wizard to make a bar
graph. I selected to show the Data Table under Chart Options as part of the
chart. When the report is in design mode the numbers in the Data Table show
as percentages, but when I preview the report the numbers show as a very long
decimal number. How do I get the chart to view with percentages? Thanks!

Christine:

You have to set the number format for the numbers in the data chart like you
do in Excel. You can click on the column head to highlight the numbers.
Then, right click to bring up the context menu and choose the number option;
last set that format to percentage.

If that doesn't "hold" in your report, then stop by our web site and look in
the Code and Design tips area under reports. You'll find some tips on
dealing with common problems with Graph and some code there that you can add
to your report to force the percentage format.

Thank you. I had already set the number format for the numbers to percentage
which is why it looks perfect in design. But the format does not "hold" when
you view it. I will check out the website for Code and Design tips.
Unfortunatley, I don't know code well at all, so if you think of anything
else that I could try, please let me know. Thanks for your help! Christine
