Banner Ad?

F

Frank Smith

the documentation "seems" straight forward... create a Banner Ad, list the
JPG's you want to show...
It does not work... where is the secret to show a page and have a Slide Show
of pictures start automatically?

Frank

I think the banner ad manager component you're talking about requires a JVM
(Java Virtual Machine) something that used to be fairly common bit is not so
much lately. windows xp didn't come with it. you can get one from sun
Microsystems but it's not as good as the one Microsoft had, at least for
visuals that is.

you might want to look into a JavaScript alternative to this since it won't
require the JVM.

Hi Frank,

The intrinsic Banner Ad component in FP is a Java Applet which requires the Java Virtual Machine. The problem is that the JVM is no
longer shipped with windows. So you have to install it or use a JavaScript based banner ad.

You may wish to take a look a J-Bots Ad Banner at http://www.websunlimited.com/order/Product/navigation/adbanner.htm
