Backup and Restore

I just got a Tape Backup device (Seagate Hornet) to
backup data. I set the backup to run daily under a User
account that is a member of the administrators group in
the windows scheduler.
Backup seems to work (schedule program says that backup
ran, gives date and time) but when I try a restore or to
see the files that are on the tape the media is not
available under the device where the backups I ran "Now"
appear.
How can I get those media's to appear? How do I do a
restore?
How can I get another PC to see the media of the PC doing
the restores die?
