Backing-Up Projects to DVD

A

Alert

I'm trying to clear space on my computer by taking my old moviemaker
files and putting them on dvd disks. I'm not trying to make playable
dvds -- just using the disks to store the moviemaker files.

I have a Dell 4550 with a dvd rom drive and an external iomega super
dvd writer. I just installed Nero 6 (eom).

I've searched this newsgroup but every discussion associated with "dvd
burning" and "backing-up files to dvd's" is about getting the file to
play on dvd's and not about simple storage.

Any advice?

Most programs will let you choose to burn as data storage.
If I have a avi or mpeg movie/concert video I burn it instead of converting
over to DVD-R unless I really want to view it on my TV.

You can do this easily with Nero just select "Create Data Disk" from the
Nero Start Smart application.
