"Back" button acting up! please help

Every time I click on the "Back" or "Forward" buttons on
my IE 6.0 browser, the page goes back/forward two pages
rather than one. I am not clicking for too long or
anything, and I am sure there is no problem with my mouse
because it works on everything except the Internet
browser works just fine. What's wrong?

Could be a corrupt index. Remove it and the operating system will start a
new one.

Delete/Empty Temporary Internet Cache completely
