AVOID WINDOWS 2000 SERVICE PACK 4 LIKE THE PLAGUE

This newest service pack has rendered a few test machines completely
useless.

All network and internet related functionality is completely throttled
after installation.

Retrieving a directory of 10 files from a server drive on a LAN 100
MBPS has taken over 1 minute.

IE6, Symantec LiveUpdate, and many other programs refuse to make a
connection to remote servers.

Uninstalling the SP4 has completely restored functionality to all
computers.

I RECOMMEND NOT INSTALLING SP4. IT IS POISON.
