AVG Update Error

A

Anthony Massa

I have used the alternate url.ini file, however, I am seeing a problem with
my AVG when I try to update that states:

Unknown server or directory
It seems this site does not support AVG Antivirus system.
Please check your setting in AVG Control Center.

Has anyone encountered and gotten around this problem?

Thanks.

especially AVG and especially the update problems seems to be a
neverending story :-( One should think about other antivirus solutions.

It's been perfect here for about a week now.

Weather's picking up too!

But you don't/didn't pay anything for the free version. The AVG regular
version is not badly priced and it includes 2 years of updates. I don't
understand why anyone should complain about something they got for free...

The www.grisoft.cz server has been working for me without a problem for some
time
now. If I do run into a problem in updating, I just do a manual download
and update. Only takes a few minutes and all is done. Just go to the link
below, scroll down to the version you have and download the update into the
AVG Update folder, then open AVG and run the update. No biggy.
