AVG Question

I've used AVG for the past couple of years on an XP Pro system, also using
Outlook. The "certification" messages always appeared in both the incoming
and outgoing e-mail.

A few months ago I decided to give AVAST a try. I uninstalled AVG prior to
installing AVAST. AVAST worked flawlessly but slow down the access to many
things.

A couple of weeks ago I uninstalled AVAST and reinstalled AVG. AVG seems to
be working correctly except for one thing. The certification message appears
on all my outgoing e-mail, but never appears on my incoming e-mail.

I have checked all the settings and they are correct. I have tried
uninstalling and reinstalling with no change. Both my XP Pro and Office 2003
are completely up to date.

Any ideas? Is this a registry issue?

TIA

When you installed AVG, did you choose the Outlook plugin to scan your
email? If so, did you then *not* choose the (generic) personal email
scanner? You shouldn't be using both.

Thanks, Jay.

Yes, I chose the Outlook plugin.

"AVG MS Outlook Extension" is selected in the drop-down box.

"Ignore Plugin Status" is unchecked.

"Use the shared test configuration" is selected.

All the actual message checkboxes are selected.
